A Day of Other People's Sports

FIND HARRY
Today was but a melancholy, rainy school day in the small town of Tena, Ecuador.  While Mom and I were working, my Dad and Dan left to go boating.  I am pretty sure Dad does not mind the rain as much as I do.

I read a chapter of The Lord of the Rings and completed my word of the day: fortuitous.   I finished the first part of The Return of the King and I am really enjoying it.  I am very excited to read more! I  When we get home, my parents are going to let me watch the movie!

In addition to reading, I finished two lessons of math while the rain poured outside our hostel room.   Every five problems, my mom let me check the online score of the Tampa Bay Rays’ vs Detroit Tigers’ game.  Sadly, the Rays lost 2 to 5.  This was disappointing and made the day even more melancholy.

I have just finished my work and am getting an early start on my blog.  My dad is coming home soon, and I am eager to hear about his day.  I am sure he had a better day than the Rays.  He loves it when it rains and the fact that it rained on his boating day was fortuitous!

Thank you for reading Rohan Geographic!

  1. To boat in the rain is fortuitous
And while the kayaker’s path is circuitous
And the jacket he wears quite superfluous
The smile on his face ain't gratuitous

  3. Hi Rohan - Well, I hope you were able to follow the Rays-Tigers game today and didn't give up when you saw that the score was Detroit 2, Rays 0. Because, the Rays had a fortuitous 9th inning and the final score was Rays 4, Tigers 2.
You look good in that kayak!! Way to go. xoxo

    1. I watched both games start to finish! I am wishing the Rays luck for the last game of the Rays' vs tigers' game!

      P.S.
The ninth inning was not fortuitous, that was pure skill!

      Love,
      Rohan
